Exotic Pet Endoscopy

Exotic Animal Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a less invasive approach than most surgeries and allows our veterinarians to look at your pet by using a small, high-definition camera. Endoscopy allows us to look “inside” at your pet’s abdomen, chest, upper/lower GI tract, upper respiratory tract, ears, and/or oral cavity. It is a procedure that typically requires the use of general anesthesia, but recovery and healing (if a small surgical incision is required) is often quick, as very little tissue is damaged by the process.

Our rigid endoscopes enable us to see your pet’s vital organs and use small surgical instruments to collect samples for analysis, remove diseased or infected tissue, and monitor disease treatment or progression.
