Dr. Lucore graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, after receiving her Bachelor of Wildlife and Fisheries in 2017. Following graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine. She joined the SEAVS family for a one-year internship in exotic animal medicine.
Dr. Lucore has always known that she wanted to work with exotic animals. She is drawn to these unique species and the intriguing challenges they present. To fuel her passion for exotic animals, Dr Lucore spent time volunteering at various zoo and exotic specialty clinics. While in veterinary school, she joined the Wildlife, Exotic, Zoo, Avian, and Aquatic Medicine Club as well as the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians.
In her free time, Dr. Lucore enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. She enjoys wakeboarding,
swimming, hiking, and exploring the area with her husband
Andrew. She also shares her home with her cat, McCloud.
